President Donald J. Trump
This website is full of information about our incredible President. Giving him four more years ensures we get more federal judges, perhaps another conservative or two on the Supreme Court, the rest of the wall (blocked constantly by Democrats), stronger security, and in general another four years to strengthen the values that make America great and thwart the Socialist Agenda that will destroy this great country. Find a list of President Trump's accomplishments HERE, a list of news stories HERE, Donate HERE, and go to the White House website HERE.

I am looking forward to being elected as the Northern Commissioner of Vernon County, and I would appreciate your support in that regard.
Vernon County has been home to my family since the 1800's, and it will continue to be where members of my family reside for many more years. That is one reason I am running for office, so I can help ensure the success of our county so my family, and others, can continue to call this great county their home.
Southern Commissioner - Two Candidates
My name is Jim Melton. I was the sole owner & operator of Jim’s Appliances & Repairs for over fifteen years. I had 9 employees. I have strong work ethics. I started the business from scratch. I was in the retail & service for fifty years. When I sold the business & started retirement, I quickly found I was not ready for retirement. It was boring. My wife (Suzanne ), of 50 + years, and I traveled, but it got boring. I have lived in Vernon County all my life, and I would like to see more industry & businesses come in to Nevada & Vernon County. I believe retail & service will help guide that. I believe hiring an economic development is the right direction.

Sheriff - Two Candidates
I'm 48 years old. My wife, Tammy, and I have raised four children, ranging in ages from four to thirty years. Our adopted four year old began life as a meth baby. Working through the issues this has caused him has made legislation to protect these children a priority in my life. My law enforcement career began in 2009, working for the Vernon County Sheriff's Office. I worked my way from entry level to Detective, and in 2018 I changed employment, and became the Chief of Police for Rich Hill, MO, where I am employed today. I would like to bring my experience and problem solving skills to the position of Vernon County Sheriff, and I ask for your vote.
I am a life-long resident of Vernon County, have been married to my wife April, 20 years, and have seven children. I attended the police academy at MO Southern State. I have an associate’s degree in Law Enforcement, a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Administration, and hold certificates in law enforcement and leadership areas, including the FBI-LEEDA executive leadership academy. I have been featured in the MO Sheriff’s Association's MSA magazine. I have also been a guest speaker at Vicky Hartzler’s Anti-Drug Task Force Campaign. I have been your sheriff since 2013, and, with your support, I look forward to continuing that work over the next four years.
