Eric was educated in public schools and earned an Angier B. Duke Scholarship to attend Duke University. Selected as a Rhodes and a Truman Scholar, he attended the University of Oxford, where he earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. His doctoral thesis, Children First, investigated how international humanitarian organizations can best serve war-affected children.

Former Governor Eric Greitens Exonerated By MO Ethics Commission
After a 20-month investigation, the Missouri Ethics Commission (MEC) released an order exonerating former Governor Eric Greitens. They found “no evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of Eric Greitens.” Charlie Spies, the leader of Dickinson Wright PLLC’s political law practice, served as Mr. Greitens’ legal counsel throughout the MEC investigation.

Attorney General Schmitt Statement on St. Louis County COVID-19 Restrictions
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt released the following statement in response to St. Louis County Executive Sam Page's announcement easing COVID-19 restrictions: “To ensure that personal, economic, and religious freedoms are preserved in St. Louis County, the Attorney General’s Office sent a letter to St. Louis County on April 20th expressing our concerns with the Safer at Home order and its restrictions on St. Louis County residents. Following my warning about the trampling of individual liberties, St. Louis County Executive Sam Page reversed course and eased many restrictions today. We will continue to monitor this situation and will vigorously defend Missourians’ individual liberties in St. Louis County and across the state.”
